If you want to get the best result, choose Better Performance, but it will drain off your power quite fast. If you want a battery that is long lasting, you need to choose Better Energy Saving.
- You can also custom configure the power setting by choosing the option Open Energy Saver, still from the same popup menu.
- You should now be able to see a page called as Energy Saver. There are some options on it. You need to choose Battery from the option Settings for. It will enable you to set up the required energy setting for the battery.
- You should also be able to see option Optimization. Choose Custom.
- The popup window will expand as it shows off more preferences. If it doesn’t, click on the option Show Details.
- Now you should be able to see two tabs of Sleep and Options. Choose Sleep.
- There are two sliders.
- The first one is for the length of time you can set before the computer is arranged to sleep. For instance, if you set it for about 15 minutes, then your computer will be put into sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity.
- The second slider is designed to arrange the length of when the screen is put into sleep mode. The shorter the duration is (the more the slider is moved to the left), the more power that you can save for your battery.
- If you want to, you can also check on the box next to the option Put the hard disk to sleep when possible. It can also save up power.
- Choose the tab Option.
- You will be given three options of dimming the display slightly, reducing the display screens brightness automatically before it goes to sleep mode, and showing the status of the battery on the menu bar. Check on those three boxes, and you can expect to save up power.
